Colonel Journal: Guiding your transition to colonel country

Definition of Center for the Arts (CFTA): a location on Eastern Kentucky University’s main campus, which hosts concerts, shows, and other events for anyone who wishes to attend.

Wait, you didn’t know that EKU offers concerts and shows on campus? Wow! Okay, allow us to provide you with a bit more information about this amazing bonus that is available EKU students.

  1. Reasonable Prices: EKU Center for the Arts sells tickets at a reasonable rate. For example, Toby Mac performed on November 4th and tickets started at as low as $35!
  2. Shows Offered: Center for the Arts hosts concerts (ex. Toby Mac and Bob Dylan), shows (ex. Catapult, the Sound of Music, etc.), and other events. If you enjoy concerts and performances, we are confident that the Center for the Arts has something for you!
  3. Seating Options: This location provides many options for seating, including lower level, upper level, and balcony seating! If you or someone you know has a physical disability, do not worry; EKU Center for the Arts provides an indoor elevator to increase accessibility for everyone who attends an event.
  4. Parking: Don’t you hate it when you go to an event and have to pay $20 for parking? Well, not at Center for the Arts! People who are attending events can park for free in Alumni Coliseum and ride the shuttle across the street. However, if you’d prefer to park by the Center for the Arts, you can reserve a spot for $10.

Sounds great, right? We think so, too! If you are interested in exploring the Center for the Arts website or searching for potential shows to see, click here.
