Finals Week at EKU

Colonel Journal: Guiding your transition to colonel country

Eastern Kentucky University wishes all of our Colonels good luck during upcoming finals week! We are confident that our enrolled students will excel during their final exams.

With that being said, we wanted to share with prospective students a little bit about what finals week looks like on the #CampusBeautiful.

  • First, it is important to know when your exams will take place. As EKU has to ensure that exams do not overlap while class time has been extended, the final exam schedule is different than students’ everyday schedule. Click here to view the schedule for fall 2018.
  • A location that you should definitely utilize during finals week is the library. What all does the Crabbe Library offer?
  • Extended hours: The library stays open later during finals week so students can squeeze in extra study time.
  • Therapy dogs, massage chairs, and more…often, the library allows therapy dogs indoors during finals week. Take a break and pet some fluffy pups. Also, the library has been known to have massage chairs as well. The Crabbe Library staff go above and beyond during finals week to ensure that EKU students take time to relax and engage in self-care!
  • The Noel Studio: Offering private rooms to practice presentations, the Noel Studio also has consultants with whom you can schedule an appointment for writing help.
  • Student Success Center: This center is located in the Crabbe Library. The Student Success Center is designed to offer tutoring for free for all EKU students.
  • The Counseling Center often showcases techniques for free to help students de-stress and relax! Earlier this month, the Counseling Center set up tables in the Whitlock Lobby, where they handed our free stress balls, stress-free kits, and coloring pages!

EKU departments work dutifully to ensure that all students maintain good physical and mental health while preparing for finals. It is EKU’s goal to help students succeed!

Good luck with finals to our fellow Colonels and #FutureColonels!

Go Colonels!
