EKU Launches New Scholarship Program for Fall 2012
For the first time ever, students will now automatically be considered for available scholarship awards when they complete an application for admission to EKU and meet the required scholarship criteria. This exciting new program streamlines the admission process as EKU continues to seek ways to better serve students and their families.
Once students are admitted to EKU, their academic records are reviewed for scholastic achievement. When students meet the criteria for a specific scholarship, they will automatically receive a scholarship offer notification, which includes an award letter and an acceptance form. The acceptance form should be returned to the Scholarship Office as quickly as possible to ensure receipt of the award funds, and details on how to claim the scholarship will be included in the scholarship notification packet.
Since scholarship funds are limited, students should apply for admission early to EKU by submitting the following items:
- A completed admission application,
- Official transcripts, and
- ACT or SAT scores.
Incoming Freshmen must be admitted before February 1, 2012, for priority scholarship consideration.
Application deadlines for transfer students are:
- Fall term – June 15, 2012,
- Spring term – November 15, 2012, and
- Summer term - April 15, 2012.
