Weekday Campus Visit
Available year-round, the Weekday Campus Visit is a 2.5 hour campus experience designed to familiarize you with all the wonderful majors and activities you can expect to become involved with after you are admitted to the University. The visit includes an overview presentation followed by a combination walking and riding tour of campus led by our student Admissions Recruitment Ambassadors.
- Tours are offered on most weekday mornings beginning at 9:30am. During peak season visits begin at 9:00 am and 10:00 am.
- Tours are offered on select weekday afternoons beginning at 1:30pm.
- All weekday campus visits begin in Room 112 of the Whitlock Building. Free parking is available in the Alumni Coliseum parking lot nearby.
This visit is for our families who are unable to take part in our normal daily visits. Night Tours are offered on Tuesdays in July and begin at 6:00pm EST and will allow students and their families to see our campus at a time that is more convenient for them! Your visit will include an information session presented by an Admissions Counselor, as well as a walking tour led by a current EKU student. The information session will cover topics such as admissions criteria, financial aid, housing, scholarships, and student life. Please allow 1 ½ hours for this event and remember to dress appropriately for both the weather and extensive walking!
KHEAA/ILP Day at EKU
The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) has made an online college planning tool available to home schooled students called Individual Learning Plans or ILP. The ILP has many features and resources that gives students a variety of options in preparing students to go to college. This visit will be designed to give the home schooled student and private school student insight on how to take advantage of this program. Your visit will include information about being college ready, KHEAA/financial aid, and of course your personal ILP. We will also have the KHEAA College Info Roadshow bus for you to take advantage of as well.
Admitted Student Campus Visit
Those students who have already been admitted to EKU can come meet with an Admissions Counselor and take a tour of our campus. During your visit, you will have the chance to learn what it takes to be successful here at EKU and tips on how to have an outstanding freshman year.
Colonel for a Day
The EKU Colonel for a Day Program matches prospective high school juniors and seniors with EKU undergraduate volunteers. The program allows prospective students to "taste college life" with different times ranging from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Thursdays. Guest will attend a class, grab some lunch and get an informal tour of campus while you ask your hosts about their EKU experience!
Spotlight Days are held on the Richmond Campus on selected Saturday mornings during the fall and spring terms. Learn more about life at EKU and the college experience, meet with a panel of current EKU students who will share their "Eastern Experience," visit the academic/student services showcase to browse informational booths, take a campus tour, and mingle with faculty and staff from across the University. Freshman Major Meetups
Plan now to experience one of EKU's Major Meetup events, and spend a full day on the Richmond campus. After completing our Weekday Campus Visit, you'll have the opportunity to meet with faculty and advisors from the college that interests you the most to learn more about various degree programs offered within the college.

When you can't come to EKU, we try to bring EKU to you. Open Houses are a great opportunity to learn more about EKU when we're in your area!

Experience EKU Honors Day
Interested in EKU Honors? This is the day for you! During your visit, you will learn more about Honors, tour campus, have lunch in our dining facility, visit the Honors Living Learning Community in Burnam Hall, experience a sample Honors class, and have your questions answered by a panel of Honors staff and students. Dates for EKU Honors Days will be released in June 2016.
Transfer and Adult Learners
If you are an adult learner or transfer student register for one of our Transfer Visits given by our Student Outreach and Transition Office (SOTO).
