Visiting & Non-Degree Students

Visiting Students*

EKU welcomes students who are pursuing degrees at other institutions and who would like to enroll at EKU for the purpose of transferring EKU credits back to their home institution.

To apply as a visiting student:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Provide verification of good standing from your current/home institution. A formal 'Letter of Good Standing' from the Office of the Registrar at your current institution can be emailed as a PDF to admissions@eku.edu.

*Please note that to enroll in courses you must provide evidence that you meet the stated course prerequisites. Financial aid is not available to visiting students. Students who wish to transfer to EKU must reapply as a degree-seeking transfer student.

Non-Degree Seeking Students**

EKU welcomes students who are interested in taking classes, but are not interested in seeking a degree at this time.  EKU offers several department level certificates that do not require a student to be degree seeking or a student can simply take courses they have an interest in without an additional goal.

To apply as a non-degree seeking student:

  1. Complete the online application.

 **Please note that to enroll in courses you must provide evidence that you meet the stated course prerequisites. Financial aid is not available to non-degree seeking students. Students who wish to transfer to EKU must reapply as a degree-seeking transfer student.  There are some Tuition Waiver programs avialable from outside sources that may apply.  Please read more here:  Tuition Waivers 

Application deadlines are:

  • August 1st for Fall term
  • November 23rd for Winter term
  • December 1st for Spring term 
  • May 1st for Summer I
  • June 15th for Summer II
